When Liz and Jordan were searching for the perfect location for their nuptials, they knew it had to take place somewhere on the North Shore of Oahu. After visiting the site, they knew they had to hold a Sunset Ranch Hawaii wedding.
The Perfect Hawaii Wedding Venue
Sunset Ranch Hawaii is the perfect Hawaii wedding venue for a number of reasons. A 30-acre private estate high above Pupukea, it offers visitors ocean and mountain views from every spot. Its grounds are immaculate and the event space is classy.
As a federally protected property, the Ranch offers tours that are carefully designed to provide visitors a unique opportunity to enjoy one of the most exclusive estates on Oahu and learn about the history of the ranch, land conservation, sustainability and Hawaiian history and culture.
True Aloha Spirit
Liz and Jordan, Hawaii residents, flew me out for an amazing weekend of sun, sand and love. They welcomed my family and I and treated us as one of their own.
Bridal Prep at Sunset Ranch Hawaii

A few steps out of the bridal suite and you feel like you're on the show "Lost". It was the perfect spot for a shot of Liz's gorgeous wedding gown.

In lieu of a card, Liz used lipstick to write a note to Jordan on the mirror where he got ready.
Liz's bouquet was simple and understated, yet showcased the lush beauty of Hawaii and their wedding venue.

I love this picture--the light streaming in catches everything perfectly, particularly Liz's expression.
Sunset Ranch Wedding Ceremony

Overview of Liz and Jordan's Sunset Ranch Hawaii wedding. Not a bad view!
Jordan and Liz chose a simple design for their arch--two folding interior doors separated by a wooden support, adorned with flowers hanging in vases. Right, Liz and Jordan listen intently as their officiant presides over their marriage vows.

They swept each other off their feet when they first met. They did it again for their first kiss as husband and wife.

At 30 acres, a Sunset Ranch Hawaii wedding offers guests lots of room to spread out during cocktail hour and play games like croquet or corn hole. Right, Jordan is an accomplished guitar player, so it was only natural for their guests to sign one they could display in their home and enjoy for years to come.
Sunset Ranch Wedding Reception
Liz and Jordan chose a simple color palette for their Sunset Ranch Hawaii wedding, one that would let the lush beauty of the ranch come forth.
Table assignments were written on the glass panes of a rustic door-the perfect metaphor for the rest of the evening. The ranch's peacocks roam freely, even through the tables at Jordan and Liz's wedding. Intermittent rain can come at any time in Hawaii, so guests were seated under a clear canopy that offered protection if they needed it, but allowed for the natural light to soak the area.

Part of Sunset Ranch overlooks Waimea canyon, so it was only fitting that we made some late-evening portraits there.

Perched high above Pupukea, it's obvious why it's called Sunset Ranch.

In the evening, the reception area of Sunset Ranch Hawaii is absolutely breathtaking.

Last dance for Liz and Jordan.
