Fine Art That's Fun

Peak Experiences

Stay Fully Present

High-end doesn’t have to be boring. I don’t force my clients to choose between looking good and feeling good – and you see it on their faces. Bustled dresses and bow ties don’t mean you can’t let loose at your celebration.

The best memories are formed when we’re immersed in joyful activities. The biggest celebrations don’t occur in one day, which is why my clients find their favorite photos come throughout the wedding weekend.

Couples don’t plan a wedding to spend 3 hours doing a photoshoot on the big day. I get the images we need when our clients are relaxed, in the moment, and enjoying the experience of being with their guests.

I work to capture what your client wants most in the way you want it to come together

Communication is key

You’ll find I’m very responsive to emails and client requests. My gold standard is to return correspondence to you before the end of the day, or Monday afternoon if I have a wedding that weekend.

Collaboration for the win

The best ideas come from a hive mind. Yes, you’ll always be the “queen bee,” but I’ll bring my creativity and perspective on how best to tell the story with photographs.

Follow the timeline

You draw up the plan and I’ll follow it - down to the second. Your job is to plan the experiences, and mine is to capture the couple enjoying them. I’ll review, confirm, and stick with what you decide works best for the celebration.

Promotional partner

You do a handful of events each year, which means each one needs as much play as possible. I’ll turn around social media images and blog content to your team fast – and at no extra charge – so you can share with your audience.

It's all in the details

Yes, the little touches are important to the couple. But they’re crucial to your portfolio and attracting new clients with what you’re known for. I bring along a third photographer to grab the details and BTS images that you can use to sell your next event.

“We cannot rave enough about John as a wedding photographer!! From the first phone call to making the album we will cherish forever, John was spectacular through and through. His steady presence was exactly what we needed."

A Concierge-level Experience

Secure services

Connect with the couple

Make it official with a 40% deposit and signed contract that doesn’t require a team of lawyers to read through.

I design custom proposals, which means your client gets what they want for a number that fits in your budget.

High-touch or hands-off, I have a workflow for either (and everything in between) so you know your clients’ time and interests are respected.

I aim for extraordinary not just on the Big Day, but all the weeks and months leading up to it.

Exceptional event experience

Fast turnaround

Service until the end

I do all my prep work before the event, so that allows me to show up five steps ahead of where I need to be to get the shots and make the couple feel comfortable.

If the couple purchases an album, I'll walk them hand-in-hand through the design process, from picking the cover material to selecting the images in the album.

Everyone’s excited about seeing the photos, so why wait? I work quickly yet thoroughly to bring the images to life before the memories fade.

From the moment we met him, he felt like an old friend of ours. My job requires me to work with so many talented photographers, and so I will admit that finding the right photographer was a challenge for me. John’s work caught my eye as his images all feel so real.

I’m always flexible on fees when collaborating on interesting,

new-to-me projects. If you have an event that fits this description, but has a budget lower than my norms, please reach out. I’d love to hear about it.

4.

Standard retainer policy is 40% at the time of booking. The remaining two payments are split up into 30% each, 60 days out and 14 days out from the wedding. Once a retainer is made, it’s non-refundable.

5.

My average local wedding offers full-day coverage with two photographers, engagement session and 2-3 hours at the welcome event for 7000-9000.
