Montage Laguna Beach Wedding Photos : Bridal Prep
Dylan prepared for her wedding in an amazing suite at the Montage Laguna Beach. The suites at the Montage are great for getting ready photos. For example, the west-facing rooms have amazing and soft light. In addition, they feature impeccable designs–perfect for any high-end wedding.
For the ceremony and early part of the reception, Dylan’s strapless Monique Lhuillier gown and Valentino shoes were absolutely amazing. But Dylan takes it one step further with a gorgeous minidress that awaits the afterparty!
I love when brides do this because it’s so much easier to dance in a smaller gown versus the one worn for the ceremony. In addition, guests always love seeing the bride appear in something new!
Shooting getting ready photos of the bride is one of my favorite aspects of being a wedding photographer. There are so many little moments that happen so fast, but when they’re captured they really form the basis of the story of the day.
In addition, getting ready photos allow me to concentrate a little on the bridal party!
There’s so much anxiousness inside a bridal suite. For example, the bride wondering if the dress she fit into a few weeks ago will still fit on the wedding day.

As a photographer, the ceremony space at the Montage is really roomy, so I can get plenty of different angles of the ceremony. In addition, it’s a blank space for any creative decor you can throw at it! And I love this view looking back toward the hotel!

As the bride and her father walk down the aisle, I’m always looking out for little moments between them. I love a dad who can lighten up an otherwise tense situation!
Dylan and Glenn’s wedding ceremony features a gray and white color palette. I love how the arrangements along the aisle are sitting on tree logs. This is such a great touch!

If you book a Montage Laguna Beach wedding, Treasure Island Beach is a great spot for bride and groom photos because it’s fairly private. In addition, it offers amazing views of the Laguna Beach coastline in every direction!
Dylan is stunning in her Monique L’huillier gown and simple white bouquet. Glenn dons a classic dark-grey suit with a simple stephanotis boutonniere. In addition, he wears Princeton-orange socks to pay homage to his alma mater.
Montage Laguna Beach Wedding Photos : Reception at Studio
Dylan and Glenn’s cocktail hour and dinner takes place at Studio. Studio sits just off the main building at the Montage and is the perfect spot for your event. For example, the dining area offers unmatched views of the Laguna Beach coastline. In addition, it’s ever-changing menu features locally grown items, some from their own garden! Finally, its wine list is among the top in Souther California.
Just like the ceremony lawn, the patio area at Studio is a blank canvas that can accommodate any taste in decor.
I love when fathers of the bride give funny speeches! Dylan’s father, Chris–a renowned artist, is hilarious and gave a speech that was part-roast, part-heartwarming tale.
Dylan, of course, laughs at nearly every word!
Montage Laguna Beach weddings are also wonderful because of the coastal fog that can come in the evening. It helps keep the heat in from the day and, in addition, provides a wonderful soft light to the evening.
In addition, when you combine the soft light with the sparkle of the market lights overhead, it creates a dreamy mood for a first dance, and also father-daughter and mother-son dances!
Montage Laguna Beach Wedding Photos : Afterparty in the Ballroom!
While Studio is the perfect venue for cocktail hour, dinner and speeches, open dancing should be brought into one of the Montage Laguna Beach’s wonderful ballrooms!
The ballrooms at the Montage Laguna Beach are blank canvases. So you can decorate them any way you want, just like Dylan and Glenn’s nightclub-themed room!
With relaxed lounge seating and soft lighting, guests won’t feel like they’re in a ballroom at all!
At the after party, Dylan and Glenn cut their traditional wedding cake. In addition, they cut a Philadelphia Eagles-inspired groom’s cake! Guests then danced the night away to an amazing live band.
Dylan’s minidress is such a hit! In addition, Glenn gets in on the action, too, with his Princeton rower’s blazer!
