Getting to Harvey House Idyllwild
Harvey House is located in the quaint mountain town of Idyllwild, California. Nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains, Idyllwild is just a few hours’ drive from San Diego or Los Angeles, making it the perfect place for a Southern California mountain destination wedding. or an Idyllwild elopement!
Harvey House Idyllwild is located at 54420 South Circle Dr. Idyllwild, CA 92549.
From the San Diego area, take I-15 north, then SR-79 east. Turn left on SR-371 north, then left on SR-74. At the Mountain Center intersection, go right on SR-243. Go right on South Circle Dr., Harvey House is up the road on the left.
From the Los Angeles area, head east on I-10. Follow I-10 E to CA-243 S/S 8th St in Banning. Take exit 100 from I-10 E. Follow CA-243 S to South Circle Dr., then go left. Harvey House is up the road on the left.

Planning Your Idyllwild Wedding at Harvey House
There are plenty of reasons to plan your wedding at Harvey House, one of the best Idyllwild wedding venues. From its picturesque location to its adorable decor and charm, Harvey House has space for up to 150 guests. Here’s quick rundown of some important things to consider when booking your wedding at Harvey House – Idyllwild.
Bridal Suite at Harvey House
The morning of your wedding, you’ll be getting ready in the Manzanita Suite. The suite boasts 1600 square feet space, so you and your bridesmaids can hang out in luxury. The room is furnished with a kitchen, king bed, small table, a lounge area, and a spacious patio.
The suite is thoughtfully adorned with understated decor. The room is light and airy with white walls, which makes it easy to get neutral-colored, flattering wedding photos!
Harvey House Idyllwild Ceremony Site
Nestled amongst centuries-old pine trees, the ceremony site is as picturesque and quite as you can imagine. Located at the back of the property, the site has views of the mountains in the distance and the creek valley below.
With room for up to 150 guests, the ceremony space at Harvey House also features an elevated stage where the bride and groom stand for their vows.
Wedding Reception Spaces at Harvey House Idyllwild
Harvey House has a series of gorgeous spaces that all work together to create a seamless wedding reception for your guests.
First, there’s the covered outdoor patio that’s connected to the main building. It’s a great space for a portion of your cocktail hour, with plenty of room for belly tables and an elevated view of the surrounding area. It’s also a great spot for your first dance and father-daughter/mother-son dances!
Next, there’s the rear portion of the ceremony space, which is just a few steps away from the covered patio. This is a great spot for your guests to enjoy cocktail hour and enjoy the views. Also, it’s an ideal spot to park a food truck!
Finally, there’s the banquet hall and parlor room, which are the main indoor spaces at Harvey House. These spaces feature rustic wood floors and a clean, minimal decor.
The banquet room also connects to the large commercial kitchen, so you can bring in your own catering! The parlor room connects as well and serves as the perfect spot for a dessert table or a photo booth.
Great Spots for Harvey House Wedding Photos
One of the great things about planning your Idyllwild wedding at Harvey House is the number of great photo spots on the property.
For group photos, there’s a large grassy area that’s about 20 30 feet from the ceremony site. It has nice backlight in the afternoon, giving your group photos a very flattering look. It’s also a great spot for bride and groom romantic portraits!
Near the entrance of the venue there’s some wonderful trees and landscaping, and a small wooden arch that works perfectly for romantic portraits!
The amazing thing about Idyllwild is the sheer amount of natural photo spots that are just a short drive from Harvey House. It’s nice to get a little adventurous and showcase the natural beauty of Idyllwild in your romantic photos.
I found this amazing spot as I was driving in to Idyllwild the morning of the wedding. I’m sure there are so many more, to take some time to explore a little before your wedding!
